I'm a filmmaker, editor, and producer who loves taking a pile of raw material and figuring out the story. My background spans documentary filmmaking, branded content, interviews, field production, motion graphics, and marketing. I approach an edit thinking about structure, pacing, clarity, emotion, and what will keep someone interested enough to see where the story goes.
I've spent my career working across the production process, from developing concepts and interviewing subjects to shooting in the field and carrying projects through post. Some of my favorite work has involved taking unscripted footage (interviews, travel and outdoor footage, events) and shaping it into something that feels intentional without losing the spontaneity that made the material interesting in the first place. I'm especially drawn to longer-form YouTube and digital content where there's enough room to build a real story, whether that's a documentary-style episode, vlog, video essay, educational piece, or personality-driven series.
Because I shoot as well as edit, I understand footage on a level a typical editor doesn't. Because I've worked in marketing, I understand that a beautiful video still needs to accomplish something. And because I've spent a lot of time interviewing real people rather than actors, I've learned how valuable the little unscripted moments can be. I'm comfortable with motion graphics and visual polish, but I don't believe every second needs an effect to stay interesting. Sometimes the best edit just communicates the story cleanly.
I'm particularly interested in working with creators, brands, and organizations that have interesting worlds to explore and want someone who can bring both technical execution and editorial judgment to the process. Give me the footage, the idea, or the problem you're trying to solve, and I'm happiest when I have enough ownership to help figure out the best way to turn it into something people want to watch.
