About the role
Midas Media Ltd. is hiring a freelance video editor for MIDASMVMT, a YouTube fitness channel with more than 1 million subscribers. We publish at least four long-form follow-along workouts per month. This is fully remote contract work, and applicants are welcome from anywhere.
You’ll turn organized footage into finished 4K videos that viewers can exercise alongside. Accurate intervals, clear exercise changes, and well-timed cues are central to the role.
Key responsibilities
- Edit footage into complete follow-along workouts.
- Synchronize work and rest countdowns, exercise and set labels, equipment loads and repetition counts, “up next” previews, music, audio cues, and progress graphics.
- Create or adapt reusable graphics that fit MIDASMVMT’s existing visual style.
- Deliver the finished 4K video and an organized, editable project file.
You may use Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or another professional editing application. Any third-party graphics, plugins, fonts, or music used in the work must be properly licensed and disclosed.
About you
- You have edited long-form workouts or other instructional videos with precisely timed segments.
- You understand what viewers need to see and hear while following a workout.
- You can keep graphics readable and maintain accurate timing throughout a video.
- You have an efficient process that can be repeated across future workouts.
- You communicate reliably and can transfer large footage and project files.
Pay and selection
This freelance contract pays US$100 per completed workout video. Shortlisted applicants will be offered a paid editing test for US$50. We’ll share the test brief and deadline before you accept.
If the test goes well, we’ll commission one complete video. Further videos will initially be assigned at the per-video rate. If the working relationship goes well, there is potential to move to a monthly retainer.

- A short note naming one thing you would preserve or improve about the editing in a MIDASMVMT video.
Applications without the written note will not be reviewed.
