I’m only looking for editors who already specialize in YouTube documentary content. If your portfolio mainly consists of gaming edits, short-form content, podcasts, vlogs, AMVs, or basic highlight montages, this position isn’t the right fit.
I’m looking for a long-term NBA documentary video editor who already has experience editing high-retention YouTube documentaries.
Please don’t apply if you’ve never edited documentary-style YouTube videos. I’m looking for a very specific editing style and need someone who already has experience creating content like this.

This position is for an established YouTube channel with 113,000+ subscribers, and I’m looking for someone interested in building a long-term working relationship.
Responsibilities
- Edit 10–30 minute NBA documentary videos.
- We’ll start with shorter 8–12 minute videos before moving into longer documentaries.
- Source all of the footage yourself (NBA clips, interviews, press conferences, photos, graphics, B-roll, social media clips, etc.).
- Add music, sound effects, subtitles, motion graphics, transitions, zooms, and any other elements needed to maximize viewer retention.
- Deliver polished, upload-ready videos.

- Script (when needed)
- Creative direction and feedback
Requirements
- Previous experience editing YouTube documentaries (required)
- Strong storytelling and pacing
- Ability to source footage independently
- Experience creating engaging, high-retention edits
- Reliable communication and turnaround times
- Looking for a long-term working relationship
Compensation
Compensation will depend on your experience, portfolio, and turnaround time. We’ll discuss pricing further if your work is a good fit.
