Description
I spent two years running six YouTube channels in parallel as video product manager for a digital media and affiliate company. 300+ videos, three to four a week, no extra headcount. I decided what got made, when, and under what title and thumbnail, then read what the numbers said back. We went from zero to 3,000 subscribers and past a million organic views with no paid promotion, and average click-through sat around 9%, roughly twice the platform average, because I tested titles and thumbnails separately instead of changing both and guessing.
Before video I spent three years in SEO, on finance verticals where competitors have real budgets. That's where I learned the thing I still work from: content that gets watched and content that produces revenue are not the same content, and most channels optimise for the first one.
These days I also build my own tooling. Ideation runs on an outlier-mining pipeline I coded, so I find what's already working in a niche instead of guessing. Local transcription handles caption timing and clipping. It means research and reporting don't eat the week. The same discipline cut revision rounds from three to one, by replacing written briefs with visual references.
I currently work on a monthly retainer with a London music-marketing agency, and I keep shipping on my own channels: 35 long-form videos since May 2026, across four channels run in parallel. Whatever I recommend, I've run on my own first.
I'm in GMT+7 and I've worked fully remote for five years, asynchronously, with teams I've never met in person.

My own channel about combat sport. Everything on it: concept, title, thumbnail, script, edit, publishing. 8,100 views on a 155-subscriber base. Not luck: I mine outliers in the niche, found that the videos breaking out ask a question the viewer thinks he already knows the answer to, and built this one on that. -
