Description
I edit documentary and explainer video for YouTube. I have a degree in film editing from Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti in Milan. I trained on Avid Media Composer and hold its Specialist certificate. I also edit in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
For my final project, I co-edited a docuseries about a taekwondo athlete who now competes in Italy. She gave us thirty hours of old DVDs from her teenage years. I ripped the discs, then used VapourBox to convert, deinterlace, and clean the handycam footage before I could cut a frame of it. I also built the spreadsheet system that catalogued every piece of archive material — video, photos, newspaper clippings — under a unique ID, so the team could track it and set up the project in Avid.
I want to edit for channels that explain the world — science, history, technology, the news — like Kurzgesagt or Tunnel Vision. I hold a C2 English certificate and speak Italian as my first language. I live in Milan and can work remote.
