I've been creating and consuming content on YouTube for just under 20 years, starting with my own channels long before I ever thought of video editing as a career. Over that time I've watched the platform completely transform, and I've developed alongside it - from making gaming videos and personal projects to professionally editing podcasts, branded content and high-volume social video. Today, my experience spans long-form YouTube content, podcasts, documentaries, trailers, UGC and short-form content for YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels. I'm particularly interested in the psychology behind a good edit: finding the hook, knowing when to cut and when to let a moment breathe, building a story, and ultimately giving someone a reason to keep watching. I've also produced more than 120 short-form videos per month, so I've learned how to work quickly and consistently without losing sight of the creative decisions that make an individual video work. I'm confident across Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and DaVinci Resolve, and I'm Avid Media Composer certified. My wider production experience includes motion graphics, colour grading, sound editing and mixing, camera operation and working with talent. That range means I can look at a project beyond the timeline itself and understand how the different parts of production contribute to the finished piece. What I enjoy most is taking raw material and finding the best version of it. I don't want to be an editor who simply follows a list of cuts - I like understanding the audience, contributing ideas and working with creators and teams to develop content over time. I'm always learning, experimenting and looking for ways to make the next edit better than the last.
