I love editing stories about unusual real people, and unexpected journeys.

I'm a storyteller at heart, with a BA in Performing Arts and Film and a career that has taken me from acting to the editing room. I got my start editing a road-running show, which I approached almost like a music video. I loved the challenge of turning something that could have been quite ordinary into a scenic, rhythmic experience. From there, I moved into the kind of storytelling I've always been drawn to: real people, real experiences and the little moments that make us human.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of working on a variety of productions. My second editing job was a magazine show called Stories of Hope, followed by investigative journalism on Carte Blanche, then documentaries, live music events, promotional content, and wildlife and travel productions. My years working on the morning show Dagbreek TV and the weekly magazine show Kwêla taught me the discipline, organisation and quick thinking needed to keep a busy production line running smoothly while meeting tight deadlines.

What I love most is finding the story, often buried in hours of interviews, and building it from scratch into something engaging and emotionally resonant. My background in acting and drama has given me a strong sense of character and emotional arc, while years in the editing room have taught me how to bring a story to life through music, pacing, visuals and mood.

I'm naturally curious and enjoy learning new techniques that can add something to a story, whether that's motion graphics, basic animation or a fresh approach to the edit. Beyond editing, I can also shoot, direct and produce, taking a project from an initial idea through to the finished piece. I'm passionate about human stories, travel, nature, yoga, meditation and the magic of life. Ultimately, I love making things that mean something, whether that's an intimate human story, a journey into the wild or a beautifully told story about the world around us.
